I have 3 ports on my LCD TV and 1 HDMI on my laptop. 

 The TV is connected HDMI 3 and my Blu ray to HDMI 2, but when I connect laptop
to HDMI 1 no picture at all. Yet if I take out TV HDMI connection and replace with my laptop cable, a perfect picture of my desktop.

Can you explain this anomaly please ?
