Star Wars: The Clone Wars: A Reel Disaster (Movie Review)

Published by Richard Cummings under Entertainment, Movies

As a somewhat decent uncle, I offered to take my 9 and 10 year old niece and nephew to see a movie.  They chose Star Wars:  The Clone Wars.

I am not a Star Wars addict, have not seen any of the new ones, but I remember thoroughly enjoying Star Wars in my youth:  Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi.  I probably saw each more than once. Continue Reading »

I ask “How did Ricky Martin have twin babies?” not because I am unaware how the process works but because I was unaware that Ricky Martin enjoyed the process. Continue Reading »

A video clip has been released of the new movie Tropic Thunder where we find Tom Cruise fat, bald, and dancing.  I did not even know which character he was at first, but listen for the voices.  The voice of Tom Cruise is very distinct.  Enjoy the preview: Continue Reading »

Californication: Showtime’s Raison d’etre

Published by Richard Cummings under Entertainment

david duchovny on californication If you think HBO is the sole proprietor for outstanding, unique, irreverent, edgy material, you haven’t tuned into Californication on Showtime

David Duchovny plays Hank Moody, a once-inspired writer who currently can’t find his voice.  His life, in shambles after the separation from the mother of his only child who he is still madly in love with, is an enjoyably tragic ride of too much and too many:  too many women and too much booze.  Continue Reading »

Published by Richard Cummings under Entertainment

inside paul mcartneys divorceMy good friend just sent me an email regarding the Paul McCartney-Heather Mills Divorce.

21: Movie Review

Published by Richard Cummings under Entertainment, Movies

The Movie 21 Is No BlackJack but It’s Not a Bad Hand

I was anxious to see the movie 21 as I had read the book Bringing Down the House, the book on which the movie is based.  However, aside from the idea of a bunch of MIT kids taking on Vegas, there are few similarities between the book and the movie. Continue Reading »

I Could Never Be Your Woman: Movie Review

Published by Richard Cummings under Entertainment, Movies

When a movie ends, you look at that person you went with in that questioning manner. Your face does that did you like it? face.

After seeing I Could Never Be Your Woman, my friend and I made that scrunchy face, that face often made after someone just emitted a foul odor. Continue Reading »
