How To Focus…Or Not

Published by Richard under Essays, My A-Musings

how to lose focusThis morning I lost focus which happens with regularity.

Fortunately, I can control it because I am aware of it.  If you are aware of losing focus, does that by definition make you focused?

My intention was to create a page on my how to video site about how to copy a DVD to a DVD because a lot of people want to know how to do this.  I had already written about how to copy DVD to hard drive and people really liked it so I thought I would expand on the topic.

Then, I lost focus. Continue Reading »

Tiger Woods Press Conference: What Will He Say?

Since the Tiger Woods affair began over Thanksgiving three months ago, we have heard from nearly everyone except Tiger Woods.  Today, he speaks. (Watch the Tiger Woods Conference live here at 11am Eastern Time).

Many people simply want to see him.  With all the speculation that his face was badly damaged in the November incident, people want to see if he still looks the same.  There was the photo below that was circulating in everybody’s inbox for the last couple of months.

Will he look like that?  Obviously not. Continue Reading »

When will Tiger Woods Play Golf Again?

Published by Richard under Entertainment, Sports, Tiger Tales

tiger woods return to golfAfter all of this speculation about the personal life of Tiger Woods, with recent revelations of Tiger´s Mistresses and that Tiger Woods is gay, the real question that I am after is when will Tiger Woods play golf again?

Oddly, it turns out that the only rumors to be true are the tawdry ones about the personal life of Tiger Woods.  The rumors about Tiger Woods return to golf have proven false.

You see…Tiger Woods was rumored to make a surprise return to golf next weekend in the World Golf Championships, a tournament in which is win percentage is unequaled.  Unlike the gossipy rumors, this rumor about Tiger Woods returning to golf was entirely unfounded.  It turns out that Tiger will not play in this World Golf Championship.

So, when will Tiger return to golf? Continue Reading »

Tiger Woods Gay, Bi-Sexual

Published by Richard under Entertainment, Sports

tiger woods gay bisexualYesterday, reports surfaced that golfer Tiger Woods is gay or that Tiger Woods is bi-sexual.

According to the website RadarOnline, one of Tiger Woods Mistresses, Loredana Jolie Ferriolo, is going to write a tell all book in which she will claim that the golfer liked to engage group acts in which men were involved, thus leading to this claim that Tiger Woods is gay or bisexual.

The article claims the following:

RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that Loredana has claimed she saw Tiger having sexual relationships with other men. That shocking twist is something no other mistress has claimed and there has been no proof.

Is any of this true? Are these just online tabloids trying to make a buck? Do you care?

Frankly, the story was riveting at first because we were all led to believe that Tiger Woods was an outstanding family man and father. He made us believe that he was not only perfect on the golf course but that he was perfect in his personal life. His personal story was a farce and thus the intrigue with the whole affair.

Now, this new claim. Does it surprise anyone? All of Tiger Woods´ Mistresses claim that he had a voracious appetite for them. Thus, the fact that he indulges these new whims should not really come as a surprise. Continue Reading »

What Does It Mean To Poke Someone On Facebook

Published by Richard under My A-Musings

what is a poke on facebookMy friend Bob asked me the other day, “What does it mean to poke someone on Facebook?”

Initially, I did not give it much thought and responded, “A poke on Facebook…it’s simply an acknowledgment.”

“But,” Bob doth protested, “do you think sometimes a Poke can be much more than a poke?  Do some Facebook pokes have more significance than others?”

Bob likes to over analyze the meaning of things and so do I.  If we don’t, life can be really boring, right?  And then you’ll find yourself reading things like What can I do on the Internet when I’m Bored?

“So,” I asked Bob, “What is a Facebook poke to you?  Were you just Facebook poked by someone and think it was more than an acknowledgment?”

“Oh yeah!” Bob responded.  “I think it was much more than an acknowledgment.”

Bob explained the situation and it turns out that there is potentially much more beneath the surface with a Facebook poke.  A Facebook Poke takes very little time but can say a whole lot! Continue Reading »

Seinfeld Reunion Show: Sort Of…

Published by Richard under Entertainment

seinfeld reunion showIf you are wondering if there is going to be a Seinfeld reunion show, there already has been.  Well, sort of…

I happened upon the Seinfeld reunion show accidentally as I was watching the Season Finale of the Larry David Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, on HBO.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is a semi-autographical show of Larry David, the co-creator of Seinfeld.  It’s an excellent show if you take it in the proper dosage.  Larry David is a bit like Woody Allen to me:  A little is brilliant and a lot is annoying. Continue Reading »

Avatar Review: The Discontent of Humanity?

Published by Richard under Entertainment, Movies

best avatar reviewAt the end of my viewing of Avatar, the audience all clapped.  They clapped because the human race fell to a society of extraterrestrials.

Why is this?  Are humans beings discontent with the world they inhabit, with themselves?

Season Finale: Dexter and Californication

Published by Richard under Entertainment

If you think the life of a serial killer or author/ladies man are all peaches and cream, as you might if you are a fan of Dexter or Californication, you have not yet caught the season finales of each.

Europeans often criticize American television and film because everything has a happy ending.  They would be very pleased with the finales of Dexter and Californication.  I was not pleased.  I was just depressed. Continue Reading »

Tigers Woods Human After All: Golf, Infidelity, and Voicemails?

Published by Richard under Tiger Tales

The story of Tiger Woods has become a story much larger than the game of golf. We once thought that Tiger Woods was simply about the game of golf and, outside of the golf course, he was a loving, family man…now we know much more. Read below about what happened to Tiger Woods, view pictures of Tiger Woods’ mansion, his wife Elin Nordegren, and his ever-increasing list of women.

I pride myself on decorum and like to think that I am above all of this tawdry speculation about what really happened with Tiger Woods.  Are you kidding me?  Let’s have at it!

First, as we explore this situation, let me say that one reason that I always root for Phil Mickelson over Tiger Woods is that Tiger is too perfect, robotic like in his quest for championships.  Phil Mickelson has always been his human counterpart and when he wins it is like a human victory over a robot.

If anything, this Tiger Woods situation makes me like him more.  It makes him more human.  In fact, Tiger Woods even admitted to it, albeit with robotic-like precision:  “I’m human and I’m not perfect” is what he said, almost as if he was surprising himself with this statement.

Why else would I want to write about the Tiger Woods incident and alleged affairs?   There is A LOT of hot babes involved and more seemingly coming through the “wood” work (all puns intended). :)

The whole story begins so humbly, so lovingly.  See photo below:

However, not all is as it appears. Continue Reading »

Lions Attack Calf Buffalo Video

Published by Richard under Entertainment

In this YouTube must see video, a group of lions attack a buffalo calf, an alligator then bites the calf, and then the buffalo save the calf and scare the lions.

My parents told me about this video on YouTube and I finally found it.  This is truly the best live, wildlife video that I have seen.

This video takes place in Kruger National Park in South Africa.   I have never been on a “safari” because it would be difficult to find a pub.  But, if I ever do, I must put Kruger on the radar after seeing this video.  Here is the full 8 minute video where the lions eat the calf, the alligator also eats the calf, and the buffalo return to attack and intimidate the lions.
